Accounting Manager Job Description
Duties
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements.
- Perform account reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and payment approvals.
- Oversee general ledger accounting activities, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Human Resource Responsibilities
- Manage payroll
- Complete and file OSHA and other federally required human resources reports
- Manage employee files and records
- Manage and administer benefits package and benefit vendor relationships
Requirements
- Degree in accounting desired.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting.
- Experience with account reconciliation processes and general ledger maintenance.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
