The right balancing machine for your shafts depends on your required balancing tolerance, the throughput of parts balanced per time period, the physical variation of the parts you want to balance, and the capital you have allocated to invest in balancing.
Shown is a fully automatic balancing machine configured and tooled for balancing shafts. With a fully automated machine, operating costs and part throughput time are reduced while increasing product quality.
Also shown is the Hines Industries enhanced Model HC-200 balancing machine. The HC is a computer based, dynamic (two plane), or static (single plane) manual load, single station, balancing machine configured for balancing balance shafts. The balance mechanism uses a rugged hard suspension HC (cradle) system to support the weight of the workpiece and tooling. The stanchions are mounted on heavy duty steel rails. Both are movable to accommodate parts of varying length.
These machines are a few examples of the many configurations and weight ranges available for balancing balance shafts.
