Designed for initial straightening of tube prior to welding. Includes heavy-duty C-frame 25 ton press and two lift-off jacks which are mounted to a steel rail allowing movement in a lateral direction. The press is two-stage, hydraulic, hand operated.
An electronic sensor measures the downward travel of the straightening press after contact with the tube, displaying it on the computer. The program will provide a direct read-out of the required deflection in the plane of each runout sensor.
Straightening press tooling consists of two straightening anvils and 39 half-ring spacers for 1-1/4, 1-3/8, 1-3/4, 2, 2-1/4, 2-3/4, 3, 3-1/4, 3-1/2, 2-9/16, 4-3/32, 4-1/2, and 4-11/16 inch diameter tubing. Lift-off jack tooling consists of 27 half-ring spacers.
